Simple Homes are an immediate alternative for housing. It allows for people to resume their family life and continue with their daily productive activities within a day. With the help of 4-6 locals and the supervision of a trained professional, Simple Homes can be built in approximately 3 hours. We use large, high resistance bamboo structures and technologically advanced elements such as reflective plastic that is sun resistant. The walls are made of plastic fabrics that provide privacy. The plastic cover has a 1 year lifespan and consists of a snow white exterior, which reflects 95% of solar radiation and a black interior that provides shade and absorbs the energy reflected from the floor. Through these characteristics, a cool environment is created. It takes only 30 minutes to change the cover for a new one—and the cost is minimal. The design allows for the beneficiaries to utilize the bamboo structure as a solid base for medium to long-term housing, making this a progressive design.
